Flowers
Wishing Tree
Come with me, my dear, to the wishing tree
And we shall find out what we will see
I know what you're wishing for deep inside
Your anger and pain just can not hide

No, my dear, he will not be returning
And this from me you should not be learning
He would have told you he was going for good
But, honestly, honey I don't think he could

His love for you hasn't changed you see
He didn't leave you, he only left me
It is with me he could not stay
And that is why he went away

Oh no, my love, you won't end up like me
Or at least, not necessarily
It maybe what he, to you, implied
That the grass is greener on the other side

But let me tell you a secret, my dear
The grass can be green whether far or near
Grass needs water and the sun above
And marriages need caring and love

Oh no, you mustn't think he is bad
He doesn't deserve for you to be mad
And yes, my darling, we are both sad
But for the love that we once had

Now let's make that wish at the wishing tree
There is no need to worry about me
Daddy will soon be here to spend time with you
Make sure that he knows that you love him too.
