Raging Storm
In the center of the raging storm
The calm heart beats
Taking in the beauty
As the outer world heats

Ions charging through the soul
Heart quickening it's pace
Towards impending ecstasy
I turn my flushing face

Skin tingling with the tension
Heart so loudly pounds
No longer can I hear
The thunder as it sounds

Suddenly the storm erupts
The rain comes rushing down
Heart skips a beat, then slows
No thunder sounds to drown

Rain transforms to gentle mist
Heart beat begins to slow
Refreshed, I turn my face
To the peace of the afterglow
