The Heart's Champion
When your heart, full of love and grace
Echoes the ravaged lines on your face
If your world is spinning endlessly in space
And you feel you are running a torturous race

When your dreams are crushed on the ground
Where no tenderness can be found,
A silent emptiness is the only sound
Lift your eyes and turn around.

Softly one, who walks by your side
Shows her heart with nothing to hide
Her arms and heart are open wide
Her eyes beckon you to come inside.

Slowly she will mend your hurting heart
Asking for nothing, it is her art
To heal what is so precious though torn apart
Helping you stand to make a new start

Trust, close your eyes and lean
Holding you to lessen your screams
A heart's champion, though rarely seen
Pulling you into heavens dream
