Wild
Fox
|
I met a soul, so very much like my own
I opened my heart and offered it a home.
We laughed and teased each other, so much fun
We danced and sung out loud, under a golden sun.
Now this soul is someone special, I call him friend
We battle in rhyme, laughing and dying again and again.
We cheer each other up, kindly loving words in red
Listening to each other's hearts, hearing every word said.
Now as our friendship grows I know I would be lost
Without the humor and friendship of a certain sweet Wild Fox. |

The line about "battling in rhyme" is actually
about the
poetry wars, of sort, that Katherine and I
were having in the
Poetry room at The Park, and which consisted
in posting one
poem at a time until one of us gave up. It
was so much fun!
And it gave us a good opportunity to discover
each other's
poetry. |
