Have You Ever
Have you ever heard
How a volcano sings?
Or have you ever spread
Of love the tender wings?

But maybe you have felt
As if you have been drowned?
Or even you have whispered
Of love the heart-bound sound?

I guess you haven't kissed
One's ethereal soul
Nor have you ever missed
Somebody's ghostly call

I know you've never heard
Nor have you ever spread
I gather what you've felt
Is not what you have whispered

I dare not think aloud
You waste so dear a gift
I doubt that you've found
I wonder if you've lived?
