Flowers
Forgotten
Sitting on the steps waiting for you,
Feeling kind of lonely and oh so very blue.
The cold night air cuts me to the bone,
I fear you have forgotten me and left me all alone.

Nothing new I fade to grey
It has always been this way
Invisible to all that never care to look
Like words in a beautiful picture book.

Wrapping my arms around my knees
No one can really see me
I always walk a step behind in your shadow
Head downcast and fallowed

Yet when you stumble softly I appear
Holding you close and so dear
When you need me I am there
And when you don't I am no where.

I am no one special,
I am forgotten
